What We Do

There is a constant need to learn about not only new code changes but also new products, which in many cases aim to make the house more comfortable and with less maintenance. We attend seminars and trade shows and meet with suppliers and their representatives to stay current. 

This is important today with regard to energy efficiency requirements, the latest products, and potential rebates. We help guide customers to the best and most efficient products while taking advantage of any incentives.  There are many ideas and new innovations, but not all are appropriate.  We are committed to ongoing learning so that we can advise clients in an informed manner. 

We switched to Andersen Windows after attending the “Andersen Experience” in Minnesota, touring the plant and learning about the product. We’ve made other similar efforts to bring the right products to our customers. We also regularly collaborate with trusted partner Architects and share information and insights on new products and/or procedures. We work with ratings companies to consult on the Home Energy Efficiency Rating.  As of 2023 any addition over one thousand feet or any remodel of an existing home that is more than fifty percent of the space must go through the same HERS rating procedure as new construction.
